Watch as Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale finds the back of the net from behind the goal during a training session in video footage released by the Wales national team.
Bale is often touted as one of the best footballers in the world, but he was subjected to a barrage of abuse from the Bernabeu crowd last season for some lacklustre displays, despite scoring 17 goals in 48 appearances. However, he appears to have taken the criticism on board this season, and he certainly appears to be back on form lately.
After scoring two goals in Madrid’s 5-0 victory over Real Betis last weekend, he also gifted Wales victory over Cyprus in last night’s Euro 2016 qualifier. Bale found the back of the back late on in the 82 minute, and he continues to be the catalyst to Wales’ fantastic start to the qualifying round.
Bale’s smug look after putting the ball away from an (almost) impossible angle says it all, and he is certain to show a similar level of talent on the field as Wales look to qualify for their first ever major tournament.
